Role: Communications Coordinator

As the Communications Coordinator, I developed and implemented the communication and community engagement strategies to optimise Sunrise’s communication channels, increase its annual fundraising reach, and enhance relationships with donors and stakeholders. The initiatives resulted in Sunrise recording an increase in recurring donations and raising the funds to implement the first phase of its community development projects.

Key outputs

  • Managing the CMS and social media channels. Implementing the digital content strategy, integrating digital platforms to achieve key business metrics.

  • Producing regular print and digital publications. This included quarterly newsletters with updates of Sunrise’s operations/fundraising initiatives and monthly campaign specific eDMs with a focus on acquiring donors and funding.

  • Developing and implementing end-to-end marketing initiatives and campaigns to achieve key goals and metrics. This included:

    • Bikes2School campaign

    • Ongoing child sponsorship program

    • Community outreach program – supported 550 disadvantaged children in 2014/15 and funded the redevelopment of a primary school, the installation of two water pumps and a bridge at Toul Krosang Village.
