Having discovered a love for the ukulele by chance while participating in a workshop at the Gympie Music Muster in 2013, Bill Ogden returned to Hervey Bay - determined to share his newfound passion with others.
Placing a notice in the local newspaper calling on other ukulele players to come forward, he quickly founded HUMPS - the Hervey Bay Ukulele Music Pickers and Strummers club. In five short months the club grew to include more than 65 members from a range of backgrounds and skill levels. Bill, a ukulele novice, is keen to take HUMPS to the Sydney Opera House.
